Jamie O'Hara

HCD Economics, University of Chester

Jamie is a leading Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) researcher with extensive experience in novel therapy areas. He has worked with a range of organisations across the public, private and third sectors, including EC and EMA, and charities including the World Federation for Haemophilia, Societal Impact of Pail (SIPP) and the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. Jamie has been the lead on country/continental/global scale burden of disease/illness studies across dozens of therapy areas.

Jamie has supported in the development and validation of policy at EU level.  He has provided specialist HEOR advice in the development of multi-billion-dollar market access initiatives for some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, including the development of value dossiers and strategy to support reimbursement of drug and device interventions.

Jamie is currently the health economic lead on an expert panel administering the delivery of a global haemophilia registry. He was previously expert health economic lead on a panel assessing and implementing good practice indicators across primary care in Europe for chronic pain intervention, and an EU initiative to harmonise elements of the HTA process (EC, EUnetHTA and HTA network). Jamie is also senior lecturer of health economics at the University of Chester.
