David Yaden

Speaker Bio

David B. Yaden, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research. He is interested in understanding how brief experiences and certain altered states of consciousness can result in long-term changes to well-being. He is currently conducting studies to determine whether and how psychedelics increase well-being and can treat mental disorders.His first authored book was just published in September, 2022––The Varieties of Spiritual Experiences: 21st Century Research and Perspectives––with Oxford University Press. His scientific and scholarly work has been covered by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, New York Magazine, NPR, CNN, and BBC.
