Despite the recent surge in clinical investigations with psychedelics, few studies have been performed investigating their disposition in humans. Understanding how these compounds are distributed in and eliminated from the body, and how exposure is related to observed effects is essential in achieving optimal dosing in future clinical trials.Emma Eckernäs holds a M.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Gothenburg. She is currently a PhD student at the Unit for Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism at the University of Gothenburg where she is investigating the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of DMT.
