Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a common, often recurrent, mental illness presenting a serious challenge to individuals, societies, and health services. SSRIs, the current first-line pharmacological treatments, show limited efficacy and undesirable side-effects, generating a significant need for more effective treatment approaches.Michelle is an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor in private practice, based in London. She has been a member of Imperial college's psychedelic research team since 2015. Michelle was a lead guide on the Imperial College’s most recent RCT trial which is comparing psilocybin to anti-depressants as a form of treatment for depression. (Psilodep2)
